Episode 1
Jeremy roadtests the new Smart Roadster. Richard destroys a Nissan Sunny and a caravan with the flames from the rear of a dragster. Jeremy introduces the Cool Wall and the new Hate Board. New guy James May makes a film about his old Bentley. There is a replica of a Ferrari F1 in the studio, Richard makes a film about the best off-road vehicle - the Bowler, and and we see how tough guy Vinnie Jones performs in the reasonably priced car.
Episode 2
The team looks at motoring luxury as Jeremy Clarkson enjoys the sumptuous Rolls-Royce Phantom and Richard Hammond looks back at the finest in 1960s style and comfort, Rover’s classic P5. Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver cooks up an impressive time in the reasonably priced car, and we decide the next General Election without all that messy voting, using instead a representative group of politicians, an MG rally car and the Top Gear test track.
Episode 3

Top Gear pounces into action with a Jaguar-themed show. Everyone drives a Jaguar, or two, including the R Coupé concept car, the C Type, the MkII, the new XJ, the XKRR and the new Aston Martin. Celebrity Tory politician Boris Johnson is the star in our reasonably priced car.
Episode 5
Jeremy Clarkson takes a close look at the latest Porsche 911s. James May gets behind the wheel of the sports classic, the TR6. And we take the small but powerful Clio V6 to the limit. Anne Robinson (fearsome questionmaster of The Weakest Link) drives the reasonably priced car, and we discover the answer to a question that has puzzled the world for decades: which takes longer – women getting ready to go out on the town, or a rally team rebuilding a car?
Episode 6
Top Gear takes a look at track cars. We put the Mitsubishi Evo VIII and the Subaru Impreza STi head-to-head to discover which is the king of the road-going rally cars. We also put Vauxhall’s VX220 Turbo through its paces, James sets out to beat the caravan towing speed record and Richard Whiteley (host of Countdown) is the guest star.
Episode 7
Jeremy Clarkson and the Top Gear team take a look at driving safety. Jeremy goes on manoeuvres in a Hummer - the off roader based on the US military’s jeep. We reveal Sweden’s contribution to the world of super cars - the Koenigsegg. Stuart Hall nominates his Greatest Car, the Rolls Royce Silver Cloud, and the star in the reasonably priced car is Men Behaving Badly’s Neil Morrissey.
Episode 8
Jeremy Clarkson and the team present a Top Gear Summer Special. James May and Richard Hammond look at the best new convertibles when they test the latest VW Beetle, Citroen Pluriel, Mercedes CLK, Daibatsu Copen and Audi Cabriolet. Clarkson puts the Nissan 350Z through its paces, Top Gear’s own James May nominates the Citroen DS as his ‘Greatest Car’, and supermodel Jodie Kidd is our star in the reasonably priced car. Plus in a Galaxy far, far away, Top Gear finds the driving ‘Master of the Universe’ when a Dalek, a Klingon, a Cyberman, Ming the Merciless, Doctor Who (Colin Baker) and Darth Vader go head-to-head on the track.
